The Communication Lab
Beginning January 2027 · Limited to six participants
Weekly 75-minute sessions · Live on Zoom
Perhaps you want to sound more authoritative without becoming stiff. Warmer without losing conviction. More animated without feeling as though you’re putting on a performance.
Maybe you want to contribute without rehearsing every sentence, finish a thought without rushing, or speak with a voice that carries the confidence you have in your ideas.
Hear the difference. Feel how to do it.
Knowing how you’d like to sound is a beginning. Developing the ability to produce that sound—and use it while thinking, listening, and responding—takes exploration and practice.
We’ll work with the connections among your thoughts, physical tension, breathing, habits, and voice. You’ll experiment with resonance, articulation, pacing, and expression to discover what helps you speak with greater ease and intention.
Then we’ll put those discoveries into action.
You might practice making a recommendation, answering a challenging question, introducing yourself, or setting a boundary. You’ll receive a specific adjustment and try again. As you become more comfortable, we’ll change the question, the listener, or the situation.
You’ll hear what changes, understand what helped, and practice making those choices your own.
"At first, I was afraid I'd only marginally improve after 12 lessons, but fortunately it turned out transformative!"
I had the opportunity to improve my speech with Judith for the past year, and she delivered. Her lessons are tailored based on issues we reviewed from my sample recordings.
Judith was patient throughout our lessons, and I learned plenty about my strengths and poor habits to reach my goals.
The journey was pleasant, I look forward to booking lessons for touch ups soon.

The program may be a good fit if...
You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what your voice needs. We’ll explore that together.
Your voice feels too small, thin, nasal, or flat.
You rush, rely on fillers, or fade at the ends of sentences.
You lose access to your usual ease and expression in certain situations.
You have something to contribute but struggle to get your thoughts out.
You want more range: greater warmth, authority, conviction, energy, or expressiveness.
You want focused feedback and a regular place to practice.
What we’ll explore over six weeks
This framework gives us a progression, with the situations and emphasis shaped by the people in the group.
WEEK
01
Understand your starting point
What happens when you speak—and what would you like to change?
Bring a speaking situation that matters to you. We’ll identify your priorities, notice what happens in your body and voice, and begin experimenting with adjustments you can hear and feel.
WEEK
02
A voice with more presence
Let your voice carry your message.
Explore resonance, breath flow, and clarity while practicing giving an opinion, entering a conversation, or making a request. We’ll work on sustaining your voice through a thought and being heard with less effort.
WEEK
03
Give yourself time to think
Create room to formulate and finish your thoughts.
Practice answering unexpected questions, explaining an idea, and recovering when you lose your thread. We’ll explore pausing, pacing, and staying physically grounded, addressing rushing and fillers within actual speaking tasks.
WEEK
04
Expand your expressive range
Discover more of what your voice can do.
Experiment with warmth, authority, enthusiasm, and conviction. Using lines, short scenes, and exercises drawn from acting, we’ll change the intention, relationship, or circumstances—and explore how your voice responds.
No acting experience needed. This is a chance to play, loosen familiar habits, and try something you might not ordinarily give yourself permission to do.
WEEK
05
Use it in conversation
Keep your choices available while responding to someone else.
Practice disagreeing, persuading, setting a boundary, handling an interruption, or navigating a difficult conversation. You’ll repeat situations with coaching and explore different ways to communicate what you mean.
WEEK
06
Make it your own
Bring the work into a situation you care about.
Practice a presentation, meeting contribution, interview answer, or conversation of your choice. You’ll receive feedback, try it again, and develop a personal plan for continuing the work.
A small group with room to practice
Each session includes a brief physical and vocal warm-up, guided exploration, and substantial speaking practice.
You’ll work with your own situations, participate in role-play, and learn by listening to others. When someone receives coaching, you’ll have opportunities to notice what changes and explore how the same principle applies to you.
Between sessions, you’ll choose a manageable way to use what you’re learning in daily life. The following week, we’ll work with what happened: what felt easier, what was difficult, and what needs another approach.
You’ll have a supportive, nonjudgmental place to experiment—and the accountability of returning each week to practice and build.

The goal is to discover possibilities in your voice—and in yourself—that you might not have known were there, or that were simply never cultivated. To develop the freedom and confidence to use them. And to hear and feel yourself speaking with greater conviction, range, and impact, while still feeling like yourself.
"The changes I felt in myself and the ways people now respond to me are profound. I can now say that I am a confident, effective communicator, and I am comfortable in pretty much any situation."
Never would I thought I’d be saying that. Thank you for this gift.
Judy is a one-in-a-billion find. She knows her stuff like nobody and she insists that you make progress and achieve your goals, supporting you every step of the way. My sessions with her were incredibly insightful and her ability to address an issue nuanced, specific and… brilliant. Not to mention that they flew by. She really listens–and cares.

I’m Judith Weinman
A corporate communications trainer, speech and voice coach, and licensed speech-language pathologist (over 30 years).
For more than 20 years, I’ve helped people communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and expression. My work connects the physical production of speech with the personal experience of speaking: what you’re thinking, what you’re holding in your body, and what you want another person to understand or feel.
I listen closely, help you explore what’s possible, and give you specific ways to practice—so you can begin to recognize and reproduce the changes yourself.
This is work I love: helping people discover something they can actually hear and feel, then watching them realize they can do more than they thought.
"After taking this program with Judy, I am so much better well-equipped to take chances, accept speaking offers, lead, and inspire others."
The nagging issues that had been with me for so long regarding my communication and personal style were so expertly and professionally addressed, and with such humanity.
The experience working with you has been invaluable. Your very personalized, warm, caring approach is rare. Your knowledge, insight, and talent for guiding me in reaching my goals was inspiring.
